The “Connectivity Powered by Targa Telematics” solution will allow Piaggio’s EMEA customers to activate fleet management services on the new three-wheeler scooter

Targa Telematics, the tech company specialised in the development of digital solutions in telematics, smart mobility and IoT platforms, developed “Connectivity Powered by Targa Telematics”, enabling new connected fleet management services on Piaggio Mymoover, the urban delivery scooter.

Depending on the package purchased (standard or premium), the solution will allow fleet managers to create new value for their business, using the data of the connected vehicle, such as fuel level, geolocation, engine warning lights, speed and crashes.

A dedicated desktop and mobile application will be available to fleet managers. Additionally, data can be integrated via API directly into the customer’s IT systems or managed by sending detailed reports via email.

The solution also includes a rider recognition module via NFC (Near-Field Communication) technologies for scooter sharing or compliance applications.

Furthermore, every connected vehicle includes the eCall emergency call service and the Stolen Vehicle Recovery (SVR) service, providing direct assistance with local Police forces in the event of theft. These services combine to ensure safety for both driver and vehicle, and are managed by Targa Telematics Control Rooms operating in the EMEA area.

Piaggio customers will thus be able to improve their business processes, take effective and timely data-driven decisions to keep costs under control, increase operational efficiency, ensure vehicle and driver safety, and ensure compliance with company policies.
