Mopar and Targa at the Hanover show with MOPAR® CONNECT FLEET for corporate fleets.

After Mopar® Connect, we now introduce Mopar® Connect Fleet – a set of connected car services specifically for security and FCA vehicle fleet management for fleet managers of small and medium-sized enterprises

Mopar®, the Fiat Chrysler Automobiles brand for the supply of after-sales products and services for the Group’s cars, has chosen Targa Telematics as its technological service provider for the development of an IoC (Internet of Cars) solution for the company fleet sector: “Mopar® Connect Fleet”. This set of connected services combines telematics, touchscreen, apps and web platforms to enable fleet managers to monitor their entire fleet, track vehicles in real time, receive alerts for possible theft or tampering and improve vehicle management, driving experience and driver safety.

Santo Ficili, Head of Mopar Service, Parts and Customer Care for the EMEA region commented: “Mopar Connect Fleet is the version of Mopar® Connect aimed at business users, such as entrepreneurs, professionals or companies that have their own car fleets. They, just like private users, receive a set of services and, in addition, a package for efficient fleet monitoring and management”.

“We have enthusiastically taken up the challenge to place our expertise at the service of such a prestigious brand and large organisation as Mopar”, added Nicola De Mattia, CEO of Targa Telematics. “The results achieved allow us to offer FCA Group customers, whether consumers or fleets, a range of connected-car services whose innovation is without equal in the entire automotive market landscape”.

The two versions, Basic and High, are now available in five languages with the aim of further expanding the user base.

Services available also include roadside assistance, also for accidents, and satellite tracking of stolen vehicles. “Like Mopar, Mopar® Connect Fleet sends an immediate assistance request and provides support in the mobilisation of rescue services. The same happens if the vehicle is stolen: the device detects the motion of the vehicle without the key inserted, activates assistance and sends a message to the Targa Telematics operations centre, which contacts the customer,” explains Massimiliano Balbo Di Vinadio, VP Sales LA of Targa Telematics.

With Mopar Connect, fleet managers can remotely control a number of useful functions and get real-time data and information on the use parameters of the car, such as fuel level, battery charge level, or oil and tyre pressure, as well as receiving alerts when routine and extraordinary maintenance is required.
