According to the Berg Insight Report data, at the end of last year, the number of fleet management systems active on commercial vehicles in Europe was 11.5 million. In order to meet the market’s demands, Targa Telematics’ Fleet Management proposal is divided into two areas: Fleet Optimization and Asset Management. The former refers to the drivers and vehicles’ safety solutions, alongside monitoring the costs (such as fuel consumption and vehicles maintenance), efficiency (in the management of missions) and conformity (driving behavior analysis and speed limit warning).
The latter refers to ad hoc solutions for the vehicle management. This includes efficiency and safety, but in the context of the automation of maintenance, optimisation of operational processes and integration of electric vehicles. Additionally, it involves the implementation of dedicated services for safety reasons, such as alarms, automated alerts for the prevention of theft and the recovery of stolen vehicles.
