For the second year in a row, EcoVadis has awarded Targa Telematics the silver medal for its achievements in corporate sustainability.

Targa Telematics Spa, a tech company specializing in the development of IoT solutions and digital platforms for connected mobility, has been awarded EcoVadis Silver medal for its achievements in corporate social responsibility for the second year in a row.

EcoVadis is the world’s largest and most reliable provider of corporate sustainability assessments. Through a methodology built on international standards, it monitors a company’s performance upstream of its value chain, certifies its level of sustainability, which it then circulates to all of its stakeholders. The EcoVadis database currently counts more than 100,000 companies evaluated in 175 countries and in more than 200 sectors.

The certification is awarded after a long and meticulous evaluation of 21 parameters attributable to four macro-themes: environment, labor practices and human rights, ethics and sustainable purchasing. Targa Telematics scored above the overall average for companies in its sector, with scores placing it amongst the top 25% of companies.

Relative to last year, Targa Telematics achieved higher scores in more than one category examined by the certifying body, even though the parameters to be met were more stringent. In particular, the company increased its score in the area of sustainable procurement, on account of which it is now in the top 8% of companies evaluated in the sector in question.
