Targa Telematics Spa, a tech company specializing in the development of IoT solutions and digital platforms, has achieved compliance with two international standards: ISO 27001 and ISO 14001; with the former due to its ability to manage processes that guarantee the integrity, confidentiality and availability of the data and information it handles internally, and with the latter for its internal environmental management processes.
Obtaining ISO 27001 certification for its ISMS (information security management system) means demonstrating that it follows best practices for collecting data, whether internal to the company, or from clients, employees and suppliers, and keeps it correct, accurate and accessible by the company, without the risk of temporary interruptions in availability or definitive loss.
ISO 14001 certification certifies that the impact of the company’s production processes in terms of environmental resources is sustainable in itself and for the environment and that Targa Telematics has taken the most appropriate measures to ensure a more efficient, rational and conscious use of resources, reducing the waste, refuse and emissions that may result from the provision of its services.
Targa Telematics obtained both certifications in just six months, instead of the twelve that many experts normally suggest, since the independent certifying body was able to count on the commitment of all of the people involved in the verification phases, and because the company had already independently implemented quality processes in the field of information security.
